Haz
I agree about the work rate off the ball, but his success in front of goal and ability to create isn't so hot as his effort. My choice of Johnson isn't at the expense of Fornals, it is so we can play three at the back and to make it a little tighter on the flanks further up the pitch, hopefully getting onto Zaha and Eze in their half. If you think Fornals should play then Benrahma goes. I could be persuaded by that but it seems a bit negative and I think Benrahma and Yarmlenko might suit each other

Spot on.
I think the game will won by the defensive midfield.
Ours of Rice and Soucek against Milivojevic and McArthur. I wouldn't swap our two for any in the PL currently let alone MnM now. Will be tough out there but surely we'll win that contest. I think it's time Rice scored, a surging run and finish will do nicely.

Re: Team v Palace
Zaha will play the same role as benhrama did for us against leeds, playing just off benteke slightly to the left in a free role with eze playing close by and looking to find him every time he (eze) receive's the ball.

Yes Wanstead I agree, if you are going to mention a player that doesn't put a shift in and goes missing it's been him for the past few years........I say that very sadly though, and he's scored two very important goals against them cunts which guarantees hero status from me.

Re: Team v Palace
Apart from his goal against spurs lanzini has done absolutely fuck all for 3 years.
I think people are looking at him through rose coloured specs thinking they’re seeing the player of a few years ago

Re: Team v Palace
Weirdly I'd be inclined to play Haller in this one. He had a fucking stinker but still should have scored three at least. I see that as a good sign, didn't at the time obviously, thought he was a complete cunt that should be fucking beaten. I'm starting to think that if he bangs a couple in sometime it will transform him. Friday was the closest he's come, despite giving the goal away and generally playing like a cunt. You'd hope he'd be fuming with that performance and looking to make amends. I think he'll score against these soap dodging South London pikeys. Would be a last chance though.

According to this, Zaha plays up front centrally now, Russ.

I would counter that by telling Balbuena to push out to double up on Zaha with Coufal. Fill the gap by shuffling over and getting Rice to sit deep.

I think its easier to teach Lanzini how to run rather than teach Fornals how to finish one of the 3 sitters he has every game

That is an excellent point. There's no doubting Fornals' workrate, but I do get frustrated with how often he loses possession and with his poor finishing. Lanzini is better on both counts. Good opportunity for a bit of squad rotation as well.

Re: Team v Palace
Doesn't Zaha pay up front for Palace nowadays?

I thought I read somewhere recently that WOY says he's been playing much better since he's moved positions.

Re: Team v Palace
I suppose the biggest worry is how Coufal will handle Zaha's pace. Fredericks would handle that but struggles to pass the ball accurately.

Question is also whether he goes with 4-4-2 to start the game? That may open us up to the counter. Moyes is so limited with the squad we have ( thx GSB).
